Book Review: The Rescue

I guess I didn't read the books description well enough. I thought it was going to be more of a fiction style book, but I learned that it was actually stories of of people.

Seven people, from different parts of life, all come together at one point in their lifetime that brought them all to a similar spot: the spot where God showed up.

While the stories were heart-warming, it's stories that I have heard in the past by other people as well. For me, there wasn't anything new to attach to. For others, this may be the book that they need to help them in a situation that they or someone they know may be facing.

Book Review: Isaiah's Daughter

While this book is mostly fictional, it is based around King Hezikiah and his wife, which is Isaiah's daughter. This is a Biblical fiction. I was drawn in right away, and then ebbed back and forth of me. Sometimes you were in Zibah's narrative, others as a 3rd person(?). There was a bit of romance. Overall, I thought it was a decent book. Not sure if I will read the rest in the series. This was the first book of the Prophets and Kings Series.

Book Review: The Austen Escape

I love Jane Austen.

I love stories inspired by Jane Austen.

I was extremely excited to read this. However, this book fell short of what I was expecting.

The book started really slow for me, and I kept reading, hoping that it would get better. But...it didn't. At least not for me.

This review is going to be very short because I don't honestly don't know what to say about it. I tried hard to like it, I really did. Makes me sad because I really wanted to add this to my Austen collection.
